Styles expressed in a Rolling Stone interview in 2017 that he had prepared for his encounter with the iconic singer by presenting her with a cake adorned with her name.
“She absolutely adored it,” he revealed, adding, “I’m delighted she enjoyed the carrot cake.”
Nicks never forgot Styles’ kind gesture and in 2017, she disclosed that Styles had been “adopted” by her former bandmate Mick Fleetwood.
“To Mick, Harry is the tall, slender, musically inclined son he always desired, so they maintain a connection,” she explained.
Since establishing their friendship, Styles and Nicks have frequently performed together, with Styles covering Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain” on multiple occasions. Their bond continues to thrive, with Nicks affectionately referring to Styles as her “love child.”
During Nicks’ induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2019, Styles expressed his admiration by proclaiming that she embodies everything one could desire in a lady, lover, and friend.
In a Vogue interview in 2020, Nicks described Styles as the ideal neighbor: “He would notice you struggling to plant flowers outside and rush over to offer help with the roses. ‘Sure, but you are Harry Styles, right?’ That’s just who he is.”
