Unexpected Twist: Tory Lanez Mugshot Finally Unveiled and Shockingly Transferred to State Prison

Tory Lanez, the 31-year-old Canadian rapper known for his hit song “Say It,” made headlines again after a recent mugshot was released. Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, is currently serving time in North Kern State Prison in Delano, Calif. This new picture showcases Lanez’s emotionless demeanor, a stark contrast to the news that he was denied bail just five days earlier.

Lanez had requested to be released on bail so he could be with his son and wife while his legal team worked on his appeal. However, Judge David Herriford denied the motion, citing Lanez’s violent felony conviction, history of disregarding court orders, and foreign citizenship as contributing factors to the decision. Earlier this year, Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting Megan Thee Stallion, whose real name is Megan Pete, in the feet after a party at Kylie Jenner’s home in July 2020. Following the sentencing, Lanez was transferred to North Kern State Prison.

The charges against Lanez include negligent discharge of a gun, assault with a gun, and carrying a loaded and unregistered firearm. Megan, who is 28 years old and known for her hit song “WAP,” faced criticism from Lanez’s fanbase after his conviction. However, she confidently addressed the naysayers during a performance at the Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park on Aug. 14. She reassured her fans, affectionately referred to as “hotties,” that their hateful words and actions had no power over her.

Lanez, on the other hand, took to Instagram on Aug. 10 to express his refusal to apologize for the charges he believes he has been wrongly convicted of. In a lengthy post, he declared his innocence, stating that he won’t allow any difficult circumstances or time spent in jail to define him. Lanez did admit to being responsible for any verbal or intimate moments he shared with the parties involved.

Since Lanez’s sentencing, Megan has continued to live her life and pursue her career. She confidently stepped out in a barely-there catsuit during a night on the town and performed “Bongos” alongside Cardi B at the 2023 MTV VMAs on Sept. 12. Despite the backlash Lanez has faced, Megan remains resilient and focused on her success.
