New York couple tragically killed in fiery car crash at US-Canada border
Investigators suspect a New York man and his wife were the victims of a car crash and explosion at a US-Canada border crossing near Niagara Falls on Wednesday. Police believe it happened when a car identified as the couple’s Bentley collided with a curb at the checkpoint, sent flying into a guardrail, and ultimately exploded in a screening area. Amtrak briefly suspended some train routes and additional security precautions in the region.
