Uncovering Extraterrestrial Evidence on Earth: Unveiling Five Other Famous Cases, Including Mexico’s ‘Alien’ Stunt

The Strange World of Alien Discoveries: Debunked and Hoaxed

When Two Apparent Alien Corpses Shocked the World

When two apparent alien corpses were paraded in front of Mexico’s congress earlier this month, it caused quite a stir across the world. With their small bodies, three-fingered hands, and strange elongated skulls, the mummified specimens looked like a cross between humans and E.T. from the movie E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. Even more bizarre is that their internal cavities also allegedly contained implants of rare metals and eggs.

However, it later transpired that the corpses – found preserved in a Peruvian mine and supposedly dating back 1,000 years – had already been debunked by scientists two years earlier. But this is not the only time the world has almost been duped into believing that alien remains have been found on Earth. Here are five other intriguing cases of alleged alien discoveries that turned out to be far from the truth.

‘Ata’ the Alien: A Curious Find in Chile

Rewind 20 years and there was another discovery of a so-called mummified alien in South America. This time it was in Chile, specifically in the Atacama Desert, which is why it was given the nickname ‘Ata’.

At first, it was thought that the 6-inch skeleton potentially had extraterrestrial origins due to its cone-like skull and unusual 10 ribs, a feature never seen in humans before.

However, DNA tests at the University of California, San Francisco, and Stanford University proved that the remains were that of a human female who died 45 years ago. The analysis revealed genetic mutations linked to dwarfism and other bone and growth disorders, explaining the skeleton’s peculiar appearance.

The Extraterrestrial in My Fridge: A Russian Woman’s Claim

If aliens were to visit Earth, it would seem unlikely that one would end up in a Russian woman’s freezer. But that’s exactly what Marta Yegorovna claimed back in 2011.

She kept the mysterious ‘lifeform’ on ice for two years at her home in Petrozavodsk, Russia. The ‘body’ was reportedly retrieved from a UFO crash site near her summer house in 2009.

Described as 2ft long with an enormous head, large bulbous eyes, and a fish-like humanoid appearance, the creature intrigued many. Miss Yegorovna even claimed it was wearing a space suit.

However, this discovery turned out to be an elaborate hoax. Many suspected it was a genuine alien, but further investigations revealed it to be a fabricated creation made from various materials.

An Alien Autopsy: Controversial Footage from Roswell

In 1995, Ray Santilli claimed to possess footage from the 1947 Roswell UFO incident showing an alien autopsy. The 16-mm film supposedly depicted a humanoid figure on an operating table as a result of the crash in New Mexico.

However, 11 years later, Santilli admitted that the footage was a ‘reconstruction’ of what he had previously viewed. Only a few frames from the 1947 film were used, but the majority of it was staged.

Fellow filmmaker Spyros Melaris claimed that the autopsy footage was faked using animal organs and pig brains in a north London flat. Despite this revelation, the video gained immense popularity and generated significant profit.

A Siberian Hoax: A Frozen Alien Turned Out to Be a Sham

In 2011, two walkers in Siberia claimed to have found the remains of an alien in a known UFO hotspot. The badly-damaged body was supposedly discovered buried in the snow near Irkutsk, Russia.

A video of the alleged alien became viral, as believers speculated that it was injured during a UFO crash. However, it was later revealed to be an elaborate hoax created using breadcrumbs and chicken skin.

Toying with Us: A Toy Mistaken for an Alien Fetus

In 2004, a major police alert was sparked when a potential alien-like ‘fetus’ was discovered in the back garden of a home in County Durham, UK. Forensic experts and a surgeon were called in for investigation.

However, upon closer inspection, it was revealed that the object was actually a Scardox alien toy. The initial excitement for a possible extraterrestrial life-form quickly turned into a comical situation.

The Mexican Martian: An Elaborate Mix of Bones and Illusions

The recent case of alleged alien mummies presented to Mexico’s congress had also been debunked. A team of experts analyzed the remains and concluded that they were a combination of human and animal bones.

One of the ‘aliens’ had a thigh bone where its upper arm bone should be, while its head was determined to have been created from the rear part of a llama or alpaca skull. Several bones were also placed upside down in an attempt to add to the illusion of extraterrestrial origin.

While these instances may be intriguing, it is essential to critically question alleged alien discoveries and rely on scientific evidence to separate fact from fiction in the search for extraterrestrial life.

Key Discoveries in Humanity’s Search for Alien Life

Discovery of pulsars: British astronomer Dame Jocelyn Bell Burnell discovered the first pulsar in 1967, which emitted radio waves. Since then, scientists have found pulsars that emit X-rays and gamma rays.
