Israeli military airstrikes and ground operations in Gaza have claimed the lives of 9,488 people, according to the Hamas-run health ministry. This includes 3,900 children and 2,509 women, making up 70% of the victims, as announced in a press conference marking 29 days of attacks on the strip. Shockingly, reports suggest that there are still 1,250 children trapped under the rubble, among approximately 2,000 missing individuals. In terms of injuries, the spokesman reported a staggering 24,158 people affected.
Hamas authorities accused Israeli forces of deliberately targeting 105 health facilities, resulting in the destruction of 16 hospitals and 32 primary care centers. These attacks have tragically claimed the lives of 150 health workers and rendered 27 ambulances useless.
Israel’s military defended one of its airstrikes by stating it targeted an ambulance used by a Hamas terrorist cell near their battle zone position.
The military operation against Hamas in Gaza was initiated by Israel after the militant Islamist group carried out terror attacks killing 1,400 people. Globally, Germany, the United States, the European Union, and other nations have classified Hamas as a terror organization.
