Former “Bachelorette” contestant Tyler Cameron, 30, has praised Kristin Cavallari’s tactic of pretending to have a boyfriend when she’s not interested in someone. In an interview with the New York Post, Cameron jokingly claimed that Cavallari had told him she had a boyfriend. He went on to describe the strategy as “genius.”
During a recent episode of her podcast “Let’s Be Honest,” Cavallari, 36, revealed that she has used this method approximately 10 times in Nashville. She explained that she tells men she has a fake boyfriend, leading them to believe she is taken. Cavallari even gave one man a detailed description of her fictional partner, claiming he is a country musician.
Cavallari clarified that she is actually single and encouraged her listeners to try out her tactic as a gentle way to let someone down. Cameron agreed with her approach, suggesting that in situations where someone is not interested, they could simply say they have a girlfriend or boyfriend.
Cameron and Cavallari have been linked together in the past, but they never confirmed if they were dating. They were seen kissing in a campaign for Cavallari’s Uncommon James’ fall collection in July 2022 and were later photographed getting cozy at a New Year’s Eve party in January.
Cavallari has three children with her ex-husband Jay Cutler, who recently went public with his girlfriend Samantha Robertson. Meanwhile, Cameron is still searching for the right partner.
