Two people dead after a fire rescue helicopter crashes in Pompano Beach, Florida

A fatal helicopter crash occurred in Broward County, Florida, when a sheriff’s fire rescue helicopter collided with an apartment complex. The accident resulted in two deaths and two injuries.

The deceased have been identified as Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue Capt. Terryson Jackson, who was in the helicopter, and an adult woman who resided in the apartment complex.

The helicopter, en route to an emergency call, crashed near an airfield just north of Fort Lauderdale.
