Two Members Leaving Snow Patrol Leaves Band ‘Heartbroken’

At 47 years old, Lightbody, along with Nathan Connolly and John McDaid, addressed the departure of Jonny Quinn and Paul Wilson from Snow Patrol. He assured fans that the band will continue and even announced that a new album will be released next year.

Through an Instagram post, signed gL.X, Lightbody shared the sad news of Quinn and Wilson leaving the band. However, he expressed his support and well-wishes for their future endeavors, emphasizing the importance of their contributions to Snow Patrol throughout the years.

Acknowledging the impact of their departure, Lightbody promised to dedicate separate posts to honor Jonny and Pablo individually. He assured fans that Snow Patrol will continue with Nate, JMD, and himself, and that exciting news about their upcoming album will be revealed in due time.

Additional Instagram posts were shared, each one dedicated to Quinn and Wilson, celebrating their respective contributions to the band.

Lightbody reflected on Quinn’s incredible journey with Snow Patrol, spanning 26 years. He highlighted Quinn’s invaluable skills beyond drumming, such as band management and gig promotion, which have greatly contributed to the success of the band.

Recalling memorable moments, such as Quinn’s quick thinking during a dangerous situation, Lightbody expressed his admiration and gratitude for Quinn’s consistent presence in their lives.

Turning to Wilson, Lightbody recognized his official role as the bassist since 2005, while acknowledging his earlier contributions as a live member. He recounted Wilson’s fearless performances and adventurous stage presence during their shared time on tour.
