Two brothers taken into custody for armed robbery investigation

Authorities have apprehended two siblings in connection with an armed robbery at a residence in Granada Hills, where one of the individuals was filming a rap video. The Los Angeles Police Department reported that Taurean Bartlett, also known as “Trench Baby,” and his brother Taurus Bartlett, also known as “Polo G,” were arrested on Wednesday. Taurean, 18, is facing charges of robbery and is currently held on $100,000 bail, while Taurus, 24, is charged with possession of a short-barreled rifle and is being held without bail, as per the LAPD and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The robbery occurred on August 15th around 5 p.m. in the 18500 block of Clydesdale Avenue in Granada Hills, according to the police. “Through the investigation, it was determined that the suspect and victim were acquainted due to a previous working relationship,” stated the police in a press release.

“The victim went to the suspect’s residence to film a rap video,” said the police. “Upon arrival, the suspect brandished a handgun with an extended magazine and demanded the victim to transfer money to an unknown account through a money transfer service. Under duress, the victim complied. Additionally, the suspect instructed the victim to empty their pockets.

“The suspect has been identified as Taurean Bartlett, a musician who goes by the name ‘Trench Baby’,” added the police. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Taurean Bartlett and a search warrant for his residence.

“Further investigation revealed that the suspect might be staying with his brother, Taurus Bartlett, who is also a musician known as ‘Polo G’,” revealed the police.

Detectives successfully located and apprehended the Bartlett brothers on Wednesday, according to the police. “A search warrant addendum was prepared, including the residence where Taurus Bartlett was found. This warrant was executed, resulting in the recovery of numerous firearms from both locations and a vehicle registered to Taurus Bartlett,” said the police.

Both individuals were booked at the Van Nuys Jail, announced the police.
