Former President Trump has given his “complete & total endorsement” to Rep. Jim Jordan for speaker of the House, stating that he is widely respected.
Trump praised Jordan’s achievements before entering Washington, describing him as a star who has represented Ohio’s 4th Congressional District. Trump made the endorsement on his new social media platform, TRUTH Social.

“As President, I had the honor of presenting Jim with our Country’s highest civilian award, The Presidential Medal of Freedom,” Trump continued. “Jim’s mastery extends beyond politics.”
Trump highlighted Jordan’s successful wrestling career, mentioning his impressive high school and college records. He emphasized Jordan’s commitment to law and order, border security, the military, veterans, and the Second Amendment. Trump expressed his belief that Jordan, along with his wife Polly and their family, would make an outstanding Speaker of the House.

“He won his 1985-86 NCAA Championship Matches in his weight class,” Trump posted. “Jim has a master’s degree in Education from Ohio State University & a Law Degree from Capital University.”
Trump further stated that Jordan is strong on crime, border security, the military and veterans, as well as supportive of the Second Amendment. He emphasized that Jordan’s wife, Polly, and their family are outstanding. Trump concluded by reiterating his complete endorsement of Jordan for Speaker of the House.
Jordan, who currently serves as the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, announced his bid for House speaker following the ousting of Rep. Kevin McCarthy.
House Majority Leader Steve Scalise has also entered the race for speaker.
