Trump urges caution to Ramaswamy: Exercise discretion when expressing your thoughts to avoid generating controversy

During an interview on Glenn Beck’s show, former President Trump took the opportunity to offer some unsolicited advice to GOP rival Vivek Ramaswamy, whose recent rise in popularity has caught people’s attention. When asked if he would consider Ramaswamy as a potential vice president, Trump responded with praise, highlighting Ramaswamy’s self-proclaimed title of being the best president in a generation. Trump jokingly remarked that he appreciates someone who makes bold statements, even if it means defining the word “generation” in a unique way.

Trump went on to shower Ramaswamy with compliments, describing him as a smart, young guy with a lot of talent and good energy. He hinted that Ramaswamy could potentially hold some form of position, emphasizing that he has distinguished himself in some way.

However, Trump also offered a word of caution to the political newcomer, noting that he is becoming a bit controversial. Trump advised him to be careful and suggested that some things should be held back. Despite this advice, Trump acknowledged Ramaswamy’s positive energy and the fact that he has been nice to him personally.

Ramaswamy’s spokeswoman responded to Trump’s comments, expressing doubt that Ramaswamy would hold back in any way. She reiterated Ramaswamy’s lack of interest in becoming Trump’s running mate, emphasizing his entrepreneurial background and presidential aspirations.

In terms of popularity, Trump continues to hold a dominant lead in the GOP primary race, with a 40-point advantage over other candidates according to the RealClearPolitics average of polls. However, Ramaswamy has seen a recent increase in his poll numbers and is currently averaging in third place, just behind Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

It’s worth noting that Trump has faced his fair share of controversy this year, including four indictments. These include charges from New York regarding hush money payments made to Stormy Daniels, federal indictments related to classified documents and his actions leading up to the January 6th Capitol riot, and a recent indictment from Georgia’s Fulton County for his attempts to overturn the state’s 2020 election results. In fact, Trump’s mugshot from the Georgia indictment has sparked a significant increase in campaign fundraising, exceeding $20 million in the month of August.
