Donald Trump is making a change in his legal representation for his Georgia election case as he prepares to surrender in Atlanta on Thursday, according to confirmation from NBC News.

Trump has enlisted the services of attorney Steve Sadow to replace Drew Findling, the previous lawyer who had been representing him in the criminal investigation regarding his attempts to overturn his loss to President Joe Biden in Georgia’s 2020 election.

“I have been retained to serve as President Trump’s legal counsel in the Fulton County, Georgia case,” stated Sadow.

Sadow added, “The indictment of the president should never have happened. He is completely innocent of all charges brought against him. We eagerly anticipate the dismissal of the case, or, if required, a fair and impartial jury finding the president not guilty. Prosecutions driven by political opponents seeking to advance their own ambitions and careers have no place within our justice system.”

ABC News and CNN were the first to report the change in legal representation.

Last week, Trump and 18 other defendants were indicted by a grand jury in Fulton County.
