June 20 (UPI) — Trevor Noah, the renowned writer, comedian, and television personality, is teaming up with Spotify to launch an original podcast.

In an official press release, Spotify announced the upcoming series.

The podcast will feature Trevor Noah’s distinctive humor, incisive wit, and global perspective, providing a unique outlook on the most engaging and captivating topics of the moment,” according to the official description.

Moreover, Noah will engage in “in-depth and freewheeling conversations” with intriguing and influential individuals from around the world.

“I’m thrilled to join Spotify on this exciting new adventure, where we’ll have fascinating and meaningful conversations with some of the world’s most captivating individuals,” said Noah. “We might even solve every problem faced by humanity, so make sure to tune in to every episode.”

“We are delighted to collaborate with Trevor in creating an original podcast that seamlessly combines his unparalleled humor, insightful commentary, and exceptional interviewing skills on a global scale,” added Julie McNamara, Spotify’s head of studios.

Noah confirmed the news through a video on Instagram, expressing his enthusiasm for the project.

The podcast is scheduled to debut later this year and will be accessible on Spotify and major platforms.

Trevor Noah is best known for his role as the host of Comedy Central’s late-night talk show, The Daily Show. He left the show in December 2022 to pursue stand-up comedy and other interests.
