Four New Mexico teenagers are facing charges after a tragic incident where a young girl was killed in her sleep during a drive-by shooting. The Albuquerque Police Department announced the arrest of a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old on murder and other charges. The incident occurred on August 13 at the Vista Del Sol mobile home park when the teenagers allegedly stole two Kia Souls and opened fire, unintentionally hitting 5-year-old Galilea Samaniego. Two brothers, aged 17 and 15, who are also believed to be involved, are still at large. The police revealed that the shooting was related to a long-standing dispute between the teens over a girl dating back to their middle school years. Detectives were able to connect bullet casings from this incident to a previous one in November 2022 involving several of the suspects.
