A pit bull mix that was stolen from its owner during a brazen attack inside a North Hollywood 7-Eleven store has been safely recovered and returned home. However, the suspects involved in the incident are still at large.

The theft took place in the early hours of Tuesday morning at the 7-Eleven store located in the 11100 block of Burbank Boulevard. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a woman was inside the store with her dog named Drake, an 11-year-old golden pit bull/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, when two individuals entered the establishment and launched an unprovoked assault on the woman. Fortunately, the dog has been found and recovered by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department deputies. It was located at a halfway house in unincorporated Santa Ana. The LAPD detectives have since reunited the dog with its owner at the North Hollywood Community Police Station.
