“The Horror of Dolores Roach,” “Harlan Coben’s Shelter,” and “With Love” will not have new seasons on Prime Video, announced on Tuesday.
“Empanada Loca” was originally created by Aaron Mark as a one-woman play. Mark created, wrote, and directed the podcast and penned the pilot script for “The Horror of Dolores Roach.” The series’s official description reads, “The Horror of Dolores Roach” follows the titular character (played by Justina Machado), who returns to a gentrified Washington Heights, where she reunites with an old stoner friend. Luis lets her live and work as a masseuse in the basement under his empanada shop. When the promise of her newfound stability is quickly threatened, ‘Magic Hands’ Dolores is driven to shocking extremes to survive.”
