TNT’s NHL Coverage Welcomes New Addition: Brian Boucher

Brian Boucher, former NBC analyst, is set to join TNT as their “between the benches” analyst for future Stanley Cup coverage, according to sources. This move will see Boucher leave ESPN to reunite with his former NBC colleagues, play-by-player Kenny Albert and game analyst Eddie Olczyk. Boucher’s arrival at TNT comes after Keith Jones departed to become the president of hockey operations for the Flyers.

TNT, who had the Stanley Cup last season, will hand over coverage to ESPN/ABC this year. However, for the 2024-25 season, Albert, Olczyk, and Boucher will be the voices guiding fans through the final call. TNT will continue to offer regular season and playoff action, including a conference final each year.

While Boucher’s primary role will be between the benches, Turner may also utilize him for studio work. Boucher, a former NHL goalie, began his broadcasting career in 2013 after retiring from a successful 13-year career on the ice. He has steadily climbed the ranks, securing prominent positions with NBC before making the transition to ESPN when they acquired rights to the sport.
