MANILA, Philippines—Roger Pogoy, who is currently recovering, has agreed to a contract extension with the TNT Tropang Giga. With one year remaining on his current contract, Pogoy has signed a three-year max extension to remain with the Tropang Giga until 2026. This means that if Pogoy fulfills his contract, he will have been with TNT for a total of 10 years since being selected in the special draft in 2016.

Congratulations poured in for Pogoy on his new deal, with TNT Tropang Giga expressing their excitement through a Facebook post.

During the PBA Governors’ Cup, Pogoy played a pivotal role in the TNT squad’s dominant performance, leading them to the PBA Finals against Ginebra. However, his conference run was cut short due to a dislocated finger, causing him to miss the rest of the championship series. Despite this setback, Pogoy’s performance in the Govs. Cup was remarkable, with averages of 18.29 points, 3.98 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.35 steals per game.

Although Pogoy is part of the Gilas Pilipinas’ 21-man pool for the Fiba World Cup, he did not join the national team’s ongoing Europe camp.
