MANILA, Philippines—TNT showcased its championship composure as they clinched the PBA 3X3 First Conference Season 3 Leg 3 title by defeating Pioneer Elastoseal, 17-13, at Ayala Malls Manila Bay on Tuesday.
Almond Vosotros, Lervin Flores, Samboy De Leon, and Gryann Mendoza swept the entire leg and earned the P100,000 cash prize after missing out on the playoffs in last week’s Leg 2.
Despite Almond Vosotros, one of the country’s top 3×3 players, not having his usual game and missing six of his 10 attempts from the field, TNT’s Flores and De Leon stepped up and combined for eight points.
Pioneer’s Wilson Baltazar scored six points for his team, which earned the P50,000 prize for finishing in second place.
In the battle for third place, the Cavitex Braves narrowly defeated San Miguel, 20-19.
Jorey Napoles led the Braves with 10 points, while Ken Ighalo contributed seven points.
