New photos have surfaced depicting the final moments of the OceanGate Titan submarine on the surface of the Atlantic Ocean before it disappeared during its dive to the Titanic wreck site. On Sunday, Action Aviation, whose chairman Hamish Harding is among the missing, posted these photos on Instagram. The images showcase the Titan floating on a platform just before it was launched into the water. Currently, the whereabouts of the vessel remain unknown. The U.S. Coast Guard Northeast has announced that they have searched 10,000 square miles in their efforts to locate the missing sub. Additionally, a Canadian Aircraft P3 Aurora has joined the search and is conducting sonar searches while the R/V Polar Prince and R/V Deep Energy continue surface searches. Shahzada Dawood and his son Sulaiman, both aboard the OceanGate submarine, have been confirmed missing by their family. In a statement, the family expressed gratitude for the concern and requested prayers for their safe return. Action Aviation has released a statement expressing hope for the safe return of Harding and their appreciation for the efforts made by authorities in the rescue operation. Harding, on his Facebook page, announced his participation in the OceanGate Expeditions’ RMS TITANIC Mission a day before the submarine vanished. He noted that due to severe winter conditions, this could be the only manned mission to the Titanic in 2023. The mission was scheduled to commence the following morning.
