Their relationship, like any marriage, has had its fair share of ups and downs. McGraw credits Hill as his source of inspiration for achieving sobriety in 2008. He recalls a moment where he contemplated drinking early in the morning but realized he needed to wake up his children. He immediately turned to Hill, admitting his struggle, and she embraced him, ultimately changing his life.
Hill and McGraw’s partnership extends beyond their personal lives and into their professional careers. They collaborated on their first album together, “The Rest of Our Life,” released in 2017. Additionally, they both starred in the Emmy-nominated spinoff of “Yellowstone,” called “1883.” McGraw values Hill’s input in his music-making process, often seeking her opinion on songs and mixes. He describes her as a “brutal” yet “honest” critic who challenges him to improve. The same applies when Hill is working on her own music.
