“We are deeply saddened by the loss of Windham Rotunda, also known as Bray Wyatt, who passed away on August 24th at the age of 36,” the post reads. “We extend our heartfelt condolences to Rotunda’s family, friends, and fans.”

Wyatt, the son of WWE Hall of Fame wrestler Mike Rotunda, passed away unexpectedly, as confirmed by retired wrestler and WWE chief content officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque. The cause of his death has not been disclosed.

“I just received a call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda, who informed us of the tragic news that our beloved WWE family member, Windham Rotunda, also known as Bray Wyatt, passed away earlier today. Our thoughts are with his family, and we kindly request that everyone respects their privacy during this difficult time,” Triple H stated on social media.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Mick Foley, renowned actors and former professional wrestlers, expressed their grief over Wyatt’s passing on social media.

“I am heartbroken by the news of Bray Wyatt’s untimely death. I always had immense respect and love for him and the Rotunda family. I adored his presence, promos, in-ring work, and his connection with the WWE universe,” Johnson wrote. “He was an incredibly unique, cool, and rare character, which is a challenge to create in the world of professional wrestling.”

“I’m still trying to come to terms with losing the legend Terry Funk yesterday and now Bray today,” he added, referring to the late Hall of Famer Terry Funk. “My love, light, strength, and mana go out to the Rotunda family and Funk family during this difficult and heartbreaking time.”

“RIP BRAY WYATT. This is devastating news, a truly heartbreaking loss for his family, friends, and fans. I held Bray Wyatt in high regard, and I felt honored when he started using the mandible claw as his finishing move. He was a true visionary and one of the most captivating figures that professional wrestling has ever seen,” Foley stated.

Bray Wyatt achieved the title of WWE Champion in 2017. Throughout his career, he portrayed various characters, including the leader of the Wyatt Family and the horror-themed alter ego, The Fiend.
