“The Wiz” Broadway Revival Set to Open on April 17 – A Spectacular Journey Awaited

In exciting news, the highly anticipated revival of The Wiz is set to make its debut on Broadway’s Marquis Theatre on April 17, with acclaimed actor Wayne Brady taking on the lead role.

Produced by the Ambassador Group and Kristin Caskey, Mike Isaacson, and Brian Anthony Moreland, this reimagined production has been generating significant buzz.

The show will have preview performances starting on March 29 and recently began its national tour in Baltimore.

Brady first announced his involvement in the revival on Instagram, expressing his excitement and admiration for the creative team and fellow cast members.

The talented ensemble includes Deborah Cox as Glinda, Nichelle Lewis as Dorothy, Melody A. Betts as Aunt Em and Evillene, Kyle Ramar Freeman as the Lion, Phillip Johnson Richardson as the Tinman, and Avery Wilson as the Scarecrow.
