This is in reference to Mr. Kurt Dela Peña’s article titled “Road rage: Preventing Deadly Confrontations” published on Inquirer.net on August 29, 2023.
The author provides valuable suggestions on how to avoid the deadly consequences of road rage in our country, and we wholeheartedly agree with him.
In our country, we have a situation where many individuals obtain their driving licenses without proper training from driving schools, resulting in a lack of basic road courtesy. Additionally, there is a high number of hotheaded and impatient motorists on the road. This is made possible by the corruption of government officials who issue these licenses.
Given this unfortunate reality, the best way to prevent road rage is by practicing road courtesy. By always being courteous on the road, we have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
