Paparazzi photos of the actor, now 52, engaged in an animated conversation with the singer, who was 35 at the time, went viral, causing quite a stir.
Recently, in a video by Variety, the father-daughter duo played a game to test their knowledge of each other. Maya, the 25-year-old star of “Stranger Things,” was asked if her father would prefer to attend a Lady Gaga or Rihanna concert. With a mischievous grin, Maya quickly jotted down Rihanna’s name, stating, “I have a very fast answer because that information is really available online. RiRi baby, by a long shot.”

Later in the video, Hawke, a two-time Academy Award nominee, openly addressed his interaction with the “Umbrella” songstress, admitting, “I’ve been caught by the paparazzi openly flirting with Rihanna.”
