It included allegations of scamming $3,000 from a GoFundMe campaign for a disabled veteran’s service dog and falsifying his mother’s presence in New York during the 9/11 attacks. Notorious for fabricating his resume, claiming a “Jew-ish” heritage he did not have, and facing various investigations, the demands for Santos to resign grew within his own party.
