The Ancestor of Jon Snow and Main Stark in “House of the Dragon” Revealed – Get to Know Him!

Coming soon to House of the Dragon’s second season is Tom Taylor, most known for his role in ‘The Dark Tower.’ He has been cast as Cregan Stark, a pivotal figure in George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood history of the Targaryen Empire.

As the first trailer for the upcoming season released, HBO confirmed the arrival of Taylor as Lord Cregan Stark, the current Lord of Winterfell. Last season, Jaecerys, a Targaryen prince, sought support from Winterfell, and Cregan Stark was there to provide it. The series is setting the record straight on this period in Westeros history, where conflicts and alliances were formed.

Joining Taylor for the new season are a slew of new actors, including Jamie Kenna, Clinton Liberty, Kieran Bew, Tom Bennett, and Vincent Regan. These characters will play crucial roles in the events to come, such as riders for additional dragons and knights loyal to different houses.

House of the Dragon season 2 is set to premiere next summer on HBO. For more in-depth analysis of the first trailer, tune in to EW’s Game of Thrones podcast West of Westeros.
