Texas scored a season high of 57 points while holding Texas Tech to just 198 total yards. Running back Jaydon Blue had his first career 100-yard game, amassing 121 yards, including a career-long 69-yard touchdown rush.
Kicker Bert Auburn made five field goals in the win, tying a Texas single-game record and setting a new record for most points in a single game with 21. The Longhorns’ Keilan Robinson scored his first touchdown of the season, while Jaydon Blue broke away for a 69-yard touchdown rush in the second quarter. Bert Auburn’s four field goals in the first half helped solidify the team’s lead, while Keilan Robinson returned the opening kickoff of the second half for a 95-yard touchdown, further bolstering the Longhorns.
Xavier Worthy, Jett Bush, and Quintrevion Wisner also contributed with impressive plays during the game. With this win, Texas now looks ahead to the Dr Pepper Big 12 Championship Game, set to take place on Saturday, Dec. 2 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX.
