Texas Democrat Criticizes Boebert’s ‘Nonsense’ in Passionate Comments

Representative Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) did not tolerate any “nonsense” from Representative Lauren Boebert as the Colorado Republican interrupted a witness during a House Oversight Committee hearing.

Boebert halted the witness’s response and brought up the value of her house in another instance while addressing New York University law professor Sally Katzen regarding government regulations.

“Excuse me, I really take that as a personal… my home,” Katzen responded.

Boebert, who redirected back to her question, asked, “Do you disagree that this was an overreach?”

“I disagree that you’re casting aspersions on me or my…” Katzen retorted before Representative Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) called for respect for “civility and decorum” among committee members.

Crockett acknowledged that the committee raises her “pressure” before addressing Katzen.

“First of all, let me apologize because that was uncalled for. Let me do what she would never do, which is to be an adult in this room or in this chamber,” Crockett said.

“I’m also going to respond to some nonsense that she was trying to spread, unlike Ms. Boebert, I have legal training, have passed bar exams, and have legislative experience prior to my position here…”

You can watch more of Crockett’s remarks in the clip below.

In a tweet on Wednesday, Crockett mentioned that she “claps back” when far-right Republicans say “something stupid.”

“Lauren Boebert was beyond disrespectful and, as granny would say, she was ‘loud’ and ‘wrong’ today,” she wrote.
