Aug. 8 (UPI) — A 15-year-old prodigy of roller skating amazed the world by flawlessly flipping over 12 people, securing her place in the Guinness World Records.

Mia Peterson, a resident of California, was recognized by Guinness World Records for achieving the highest number of barani flips over people on roller skates (female). This outstanding feat took place at a skate park in Laguna Niguel.

Mia’s roller skating journey began at the age of 11 during a family trip to a roller rink. By the age of 13, she was already attempting tricks on a half pipe.

Initially, she practiced her flips into a foam pit, taking gradual steps until she mastered the technique. Mia acknowledges that it wasn’t an easy task and she faced numerous falls along the way, but her determination never wavered.

It was her friend Jake who had faith in her abilities and convinced her to attempt a flip over him while he remained on the ground. Surprisingly, Mia nailed the flip on her first try. In just two days, she successfully flipped over Jake and eight other individuals.

Encouraged by her friends, Mia decided to pursue the world record once she became comfortable flipping over ten people at once. She expresses gratitude towards her closest friends at the skate park who witnessed her progress from day one. Their unwavering trust and belief in her abilities have fueled her passion for pushing boundaries and embracing her unique ideas.
