Taylor Swift’s Rio Show Organizers Considered ‘Alternative Actions’, Says Spokesperson

T4F, the organizers of Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” in Brazil, issued a statement acknowledging they could have done more to assist fans dealing with extreme heat during the concert in Rio de Janeiro. This follows the postponement of Swift’s performance due to record-breaking heat and the tragic death of a fan due to the sweltering conditions.

T4F’s Chief Executive, Serafim Abreu, expressed regret in a video posted on social media, acknowledging that alternative actions could have been taken to address the extreme conditions. The heat index in Rio soared to unprecedented levels, leading the federal government to order T4F to provide water access at all of Swift’s concerts and permit the bring-in of water bottles to future events.

Abreu reflected on the missed opportunity to create shaded areas outside the Nilton Santos stadium and adjust the start time of the shows. He also offered a public apology to those who had a less than ideal experience and expressed deep sadness over the loss of fan Ana Clara Benevides. T4F is committed to supporting Ana Clara’s family in any way necessary.

The Brazilian leg of the tour will conclude with three sold-out concerts in Sao Paulo from Nov. 24 to 26, with weather forecasters predicting milder temperatures. This series of events, organized by T4F, will hopefully provide fans with a more comfortable and enjoyable experience.
