Talented Tattoo Artist Elicits Tears of Joy with Melodic Serenades during Tattoo Sessions

  • “What would you do if your tattoo artist starts singing to you?” Alessandro Capozzi asked on TikTok.
  • His videos have garnered millions of views, as he seeks to launch a pop career.
  • Singing helps him concentrate, he told Insider, and can evoke emotions while distracting tattoo clients.

An Italian tattoo artist and aspiring musician, Alessandro Capozzi, has become a sensation on TikTok for serenading his clients while tattooing them. Capozzi, 28, explained that singing helps him concentrate and provides a distraction from the pain for his clients.

Viewers of his videos are captivated by his performances, expressing their desire to be in his chair or sing along with him. However, some commenters find the tattoo sessions with singing to be “awkward.”

Last month, Capozzi, who owns the tattoo shop Aureo in Rome, started sharing TikTok videos with the caption, “What would you do if your tattoo artist starts singing to you?” One of his influencer clients, Nurse John, encouraged him to join TikTok after being amazed by his singing talent. Since then, Capozzi has gained 110,000 followers in just seven days. He described this viral success as a dream come true.

In Capozzi’s first TikTok video on August 23, he tattoos a woman’s forearm while singing “Stay” by Justin Bieber and The Kid Laroi, attracting 1.4 million views. The top commenter responded to the caption question, saying, “I would fall in love before starting to sing along too lol.”

However, in another session with over 7.3 million views, a commenter expressed discomfort with the idea of a tattoo artist singing during the process. The comment received over 10,000 upvotes.

Capozzi revealed that he has always sung to clients since he started tattooing at 19 years old. He prefers emotionally charged pop ballads and surprises his clients by singing throughout the entire tattooing session, which often catches them off guard.

While the music helps him enter a flow state, Capozzi pauses to concentrate on fine details, holding his breath. Despite some skepticism on TikTok, he mentioned that he has never received any complaints in person. According to Capozzi, the singing helps distract clients from the pain.

Moreover, the singing can create profound experiences. Capozzi shared a video showing a man getting a tattoo in honor of his cat. During the session, Capozzi sang Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved.” In a heartfelt moment, the man asked for a tissue and wiped away tears, appreciating the significance of the moment.

Capozzi’s breakthrough as a tattoo artist came when Scooter Braun discovered him on Instagram. He then traveled to Los Angeles to tattoo Demi Lovato. With his newfound viral success, Capozzi intends to pursue a music career of his own. He is currently working on an EP and a single.
