According to Sweeney in her interview with Variety, she and her fellow “Euphoria” cast members would speak up if they felt uncomfortable or had issues with aspects of Levinson’s production.

Sweeney mentioned that the cast, including herself and Zendaya, are strong-minded and independent women who would not hesitate to voice their concerns. She emphasized their ongoing support for Levinson despite public backlash and media criticism.

Regarding the controversial nature of the shows, Sweeney argued that the purpose of art is to push boundaries and make people uncomfortable, encouraging them to think outside the box. She also expressed how her role as Cassie has given her newfound freedom and confidence.
