Rapper Jeezy files for divorce from TV personality Jeannie Mai after two years of marriage

LOS ANGELES — Rapper Jeezy has filed for divorce from TV personality Jeannie Mai after two years of marriage.
The 45-year-old rapper, Jay Wayne Jenkins, filed the divorce papers on Thursday in Georgia’s Superior Court of Fulton County.
The filing states that the marriage between Jeezy and Jeannie Mai is irretrievably broken with no hope for reconciliation.
The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, in January 2022. Jeezy is seeking joint legal custody of their daughter, as outlined in the divorce documents. The filing also mentions a prenuptial agreement that Jeezy expects to be enforced.
Representatives for Jeezy and Jeannie Mai have not responded to requests for comment.
Jeezy, a Grammy Award-nominated rapper, rose to fame in the mid-’00s and is considered a pioneer of Atlanta trap music. He has released 10 studio albums.
Jeannie Mai, 44, is a prominent figure in daytime television and is best known for her work as a host on shows like “The Real” and “How Do I Look?”
