Support Messages for Madonna after ICU Stay: Protecting Our Queen

The renowned American pop star, Madonna, who is 64 years old, is expected to fully recover from a serious bacterial infection that led to a stay in the ICU. However, she has had to put a pause on all her commitments, including the start of her upcoming tour, Madonna: The Celebration Tour. The tour was initially scheduled to begin in Canada on July 15, but a new start date will be announced soon.

Madonna’s manager, Guy Oseary, shared the news on Instagram, prompting well-wishes from celebrities like Michelle Visage and Rita Wilson. Oseary’s statement mentioned that while Madonna’s health is improving, she is still under medical care, and a complete recovery is anticipated.

The Celebration Tour promises to be an extraordinary experience, featuring Madonna’s music from her extensive four-decade catalog. It includes dates in North America and Europe, with stops in cities like Detroit, Chicago, New York, London, and more. Special guest Bob the Drag Queen, whose real name is Caldwell Tidicue, will join Madonna on all the tour dates.

Madonna expressed her excitement for the tour, aiming to deliver the show her fans have been eagerly waiting for. This will be her first tour since her Madame X shows, which ended in 2020. In the past, some performances had to be canceled due to knee and hip injuries. Her album, also titled Madame X, reached the number two spot on the UK charts.

Known as the Queen of Pop, Madonna has sold over 300 million records worldwide and has received several prestigious awards throughout her career. She was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2008. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of her recording debut in 2022, Madonna announced a new music deal that will involve revisiting her classic albums from her back catalogue. This includes her 17 studio albums, singles, soundtrack recordings, live albums, and compilations, all produced under labels Sire, Maverick, and Warner. Additionally, her three most recent studio albums – MDNA, Rebel Heart, and Madame X – will become part of the Warner catalogue starting from 2025.
