SUNY Morrisville has revealed an extraordinary multi-purpose black football field, which the university describes as “a bold new direction”.
The field features red lines for men’s lacrosse, blue lines for women’s lacrosse, green lines for soccer, and yellow markings for field hockey.
The white markings defining the traditional football field are the main highlight of this innovative design.
Matt Grawrock, the program’s athletic director, is ecstatic about the new design.
‘We wanted to take a bold, new approach that would give our department and student-athletes a distinct identity to unite behind,’ Grawrock said.

He further expressed his belief that the field will provide competing teams with “a true home-field experience and advantage” when playing on it.
After nearly 18 months of planning and construction, the project is finally complete.
According to Sports Illustrated, discussions about replacing the field began in early 2022, with physical work commencing in May.
An official ribbon-cutting unveiling is scheduled to take place in the coming weeks.
