This move by Musk prompted Fox News’ Joey Jones to argue that he was “picking a fight with America” and referred to it as a “shakedown.” Jones believed that Musk made the announcement to incentivize people to sign up for Twitter Blue. Another co-host, Raymond Arroyo, expressed his disappointment, calling the limitations “heartbreaking.” He also criticized Musk, saying that instead of being the protector of free speech as he had promised, he was exerting excessive control over speech and limiting interaction on the platform.
