Springsteen Delays Remainder of Tour – Stay Tuned Until 2024 for Unforgettable Performances!

ALBANY — Prepare yourself for some grim news concerning E Street.

The social media accounts of legendary musician Bruce Springsteen announced Wednesday that all of his remaining tour dates for this year, including shows in Albany and Syracuse, will be pushed back to 2024. This decision comes as the 74-year-old musician recovers from peptic ulcer disease, a diagnosis he publicly revealed just a fortnight ago.

“Bruce Springsteen has been on a steady road to recovery over the past few weeks and will continue with his treatment until the end of the year, as advised by his doctors,” posted his Facebook account. “With this in mind, and in an effort to take every precaution, all remaining tour dates in 2023 for Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will be postponed until 2024.”

Next week, rescheduled dates for previously postponed shows, including the visits to upstate New York, will be announced, and they will take place at the originally planned venues.

For those who are unable to attend the rescheduled dates but hold tickets bought through authorized ticketing companies, a 30-day window will be provided to request a refund.

All tickets for the postponed performances will remain valid for the rescheduled dates.

“I am grateful to all my friends and fans for their kind wishes, encouragement, and support,” stated the rockstar. “I am healing and cannot wait to see all of you next year.”

The MVP Arena in Albany was initially set to host Springsteen in March, but due to an undisclosed illness, the show was moved to September 19th.

In August, shows in Philadelphia were cancelled due to an undisclosed ailment at the time. (Those shows were rescheduled for August 2024.)

Following the postponement of the Albany and Syracuse shows this month, which did not have any rescheduled dates at the time, Wednesday’s announcement was made.

Peptic ulcer disease causes the formation of ulcers in the stomach or small intestine, leading to heartburn, nausea, and stomach pain.

Springsteen is embarking on his first tour with the E Street Band in six years. The band toured across the United States in the winter and spring before heading to Europe for a summer tour. He performed stadium concerts in the US throughout August and early September, concluding with a three-show series at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
