Special education teacher dismissed after school district uncovers OnlyFans account, denies ‘serious’ misconduct

An OnlyFans account cost a Canadian special needs teaching assistant her job when she refused to deactivate it. Kristin MacDonald received an email from School District 43 in British Columbia instructing her to shut down her “Ava James” persona, used for her side gig on OnlyFans. Despite the warning, she chose to keep her account active, resulting in her termination on June 16. MacDonald claims she doesn’t know how the school discovered her account, but rumors circulated that a student complained about one of her TikTok videos. The district cited several reasons for her termination, including the sexualization of the school environment and her alleged disparagement of the district in media interviews. MacDonald believes the district’s investigation may have violated OnlyFans’ rules, as they allegedly subscribed to her account and shared content with screenshots. She hopes to resolve the matter and return to her teaching job, which she pursued after two years of college education. The school district has yet to comment on the situation.
