A female passenger of Southwest Airlines has reported receiving explicit photos and videos from a man, who is suspected to be an off-duty pilot for the company, via AirDrop before the flight took off from Las Vegas to Dallas.

Elizabeth Huffman, aged 27, and her sister were returning to Texas after a family vacation in Washington when the incident occurred. Huffman shared that she received the first explicit photo right after boarding the plane. She initially thought it would be a harmless cartoon, but it turned out to be an inappropriate image.

Despite feeling disgusted, Huffman disregarded the incident, assuming anyone at the airport could have sent it. However, she continued to receive multiple AirDrop requests from the same person, escalating her concern. Eventually, she received a graphic video.

Huffman promptly reported the offensive content to a flight attendant and provided details about the device used to send the photos and video, which included the man’s first name. The flight attendants made an announcement asking the man to come forward, but he did not, resulting in a delay.

Two boys sitting a few rows ahead of Huffman later identified the man, leading to his removal from the flight. Huffman was informed by the flight attendant that the man was an off-duty pilot for Southwest, leaving her appalled.

Huffman filed a complaint with the airline regarding the incident. Southwest Airlines has acknowledged the claim and assured that they do not support such behavior. They are currently conducting an internal investigation and will take appropriate action based on their findings. The identity of the man identified by Huffman has yet to be confirmed.
