Sources say that FBI agents dedicated two days to removing items from an office complex associated with the renowned wine retailer, Sherry-Lehmann.

Federal agents investigating the renowned wine retailer, Sherry-Lehmann, recently conducted a thorough search at an office complex near New York City. The agents, consisting of about 20 members from the FBI and the US Postal Inspection Service, arrived at Blue Hill Plaza in Pearl River, NY early in the morning with a search warrant. They remained on-site for nearly two days, removing items believed to be rare and expensive wines belonging to customers. Sources revealed that the agents utilized a truck and set up a tent outside building #2 within the complex.

Coinciding with the Pearl River raid, law enforcement agents were also seen at Sherry-Lehmann’s Park Avenue store, retrieving boxes and loading them into a white van. This series of activities is part of a broader investigation into Sherry-Lehmann, as confirmed by USPIS spokesperson, Nick Moore. The investigation focuses on criminal matters related to the U.S. Mail and potentially violates various federal statutes.

Sherry-Lehmann has faced customer complaints for over a year regarding undelivered wine purchases. Some customers suspect that Wine Caves, a sister company of the retailer, unlawfully took their stored wine and sold it to other customers. This speculation emerged after Wine Caves offered long-term storage solutions for Sherry-Lehmann customers with excessive wine or those seeking secure storage for valuable vintages. Former employees disclosed that Kris Green and Shyda Gilmer, the owners of Sherry-Lehmann, relocated Wine Caves from a Queens warehouse to Blue Hill Plaza. Interestingly, this move went unnoticed by the New York State Liquor Authority and affected customers, who claim their wine was transferred without their consent.

Glorious Sun, a Hong Kong-based real estate company, owns both Blue Hill Plaza and the Park Avenue building housing Sherry-Lehmann’s store. It was discovered that the relocation of Wine Caves occurred a year ago without the knowledge of the licensing authority or the impacted customers. The current license of Wine Caves is associated with the Queens address and expires at the end of this year. Glorious Sun, the real estate firm, has not yet responded to inquiries regarding these developments.
