Sony Unveils Exclusive Olivia Rodrigo Edition of LinkBuds S Earbuds – A Must-Have for Music Lovers!

Sony is set to release a limited edition pair of its LinkBuds S earbuds, created in collaboration with popular music artist Olivia Rodrigo. This partnership goes beyond style, as the special edition LinkBuds S will feature two custom EQ modes that are specifically designed for Rodrigo’s albums, Sour and Guts.

Both profiles were meticulously tuned by Rodrigo and her producer Daniel Nigro, and will be accessible through Sony’s Headphones Connect app when connecting the signature LinkBuds S via Bluetooth. While the custom EQ profiles can be used with other content, it is recommended to stick with Sony’s other presets for optimal experience.

In terms of design, both earbuds and the accompanying charging case feature a unique purple marbled exterior, as styled by Rodrigo herself, according to Sony. The marbled pattern is a result of using a variety of recycled materials in the production process, making each pair of LinkBuds S x Olivia Rodrigo truly one-of-a-kind.

Apart from the unique design, these special edition earbuds offer the same features as the other colors in the LinkBuds S lineup. They are known for their outstanding comfort and offer decent active noise cancellation and sound quality, although slightly below Sony’s flagship WF-1000XM5 earbuds.

Sony is planning an extensive marketing campaign to promote these signature earbuds. The company has created a marketing video that aligns with the official ‘bad idea, right?’ music video and stays true to the artist’s vision and album concept. Additionally, Sony will showcase the signature LinkBuds S on billboards in Times Square and engage in various media activations on platforms like Hulu, Spotify, and Thursday Night Football.

While I may be late to the party, these LinkBuds S were initially announced at a fan event in Tokyo hosted by Sony, where Rodrigo made her first appearance in the city. Given Rodrigo’s immense popularity, with over 63.2 million monthly listeners on Spotify, these earbuds are expected to sell well even without extensive advertising.

Preorders for Sony’s signature Olivia Rodrigo LinkBuds S are now available on her website, Sony.com, Amazon, and Best Buy. Fortunately for fans, there is no additional charge for this special edition compared to the standard buds.
