The Los Angeles Rams have re-signed running back Sony Michel, a two-time Super Bowl winner, the team announced on Tuesday.

Michel played for the Super Bowl Champion Rams during the 2021-22 season, rushing for 845 yards and four touchdowns, along with 21 catches. He was acquired from the New England Patriots in a preseason trade.

During the postseason, Michel contributed 78 rushing yards as the Rams won the Super Bowl at SoFi Stadium in February 2022.

Most of Michel’s production in LA came while RB Cam Akers was recovering from an Achilles injury.

Before joining the Rams, Michel was with the Miami Dolphins during the offseason but was cut in preseason. He later signed with the Los Angeles Chargers and rushed for 106 yards as a backup to Austin Ekeler.
