Sheetz, a convenience store chain, is offering customers a special discount on gas for the Fourth of July.
On Tuesday, the Pennsylvania-based company is selling gas for $1.776 per gallon at its over 600 stores. This is about a 50% reduction from the national average.
The promotion is valid all day and applies to regular, E85 (flex fuel), Unleaded 88, mid-grade, and premium fuel grades.
CEO Travis Sheetz stated, “We hope this discount helps our customers keep a little more change in their wallets as they travel to celebrate the 4th of July with friends and family, with an obvious nod to our nation’s birthday.”
Sheetz has stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia.
This chain has a history of offering holiday-themed gas promotions. Last November, they sold gas at a rate of $1.99 per gallon for Thanksgiving.
