This infection has caused blockage in her nasal passages and swelling in her throat. Cuneta recently shared on Instagram that as part of her treatment, she underwent nasal endoscopy, a procedure where a long instrument called an endoscope is inserted through the nasal cavity to examine the sinus passages.
In her Instagram post, Cuneta mentioned visiting her doctor at St. Luke’s BGC, who inserted a camera into her nose and mouth. She explained that her nasal passages were severely clogged and her throat was swollen, which could have led to an infection. She also mentioned that she has been prescribed several medications to address the issue.
Interestingly, her doctors informed her that she may have become accustomed to the condition and let it go unnoticed, not realizing it could develop into a more serious problem. Cuneta admitted that she may have gotten used to having a blocked nose and a bad throat, attributing it to the unpredictable weather conditions during her shooting schedules.
Cuneta recalled that before her appearance on Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon’s TV show “E.A.T.” on TV5, she already felt her throat acting up. She jokingly mentioned that she should have requested a voice wrap because she couldn’t sing the requested song properly during the show.
Moreover, Cuneta mentioned that her condition might have been worsened by stress, leading her to take a few days off from shooting her movie with Alden Richards, titled “A Mother and Son’s Story.” She expressed her gratitude to those who caused her stress, saying that she leaves it up to God to take care of them. Additionally, she disclosed that she is also dealing with acid reflux.
