July 14 (UPI) —
South Korean singer Jung Kook, a member of BTS, commenced the summer music series of “Good Morning America” in Central Park, New York City. Unfortunately, the concert had to be suspended due to severe weather conditions.

Jung Kook, although he had to pre-record his performance, opened the concert with his solo song “Euphoria” from 2018 and then showcased his new solo single “Seven.” He concluded his set with BTS’s popular hit “Dynamite.”

The music video for “Seven,” released on Friday, garnered over 19 million views on YouTube within the first 9 hours of its launch.

During an interview with GMA, Jung Kook expressed his admiration for collaborating with rapper Latto on the “Seven” music video, describing the experience as “amazing.”

“I am extremely pleased with the final song and music video,” Jung Kook stated.

The 25-year-old K-pop star expressed gratitude to the fans who had camped out for several days leading up to the concert. Some of them were fortunate enough to witness Jung Kook pre-record three songs before the venue evacuation took place.

“My sister has been here since Monday, while I just arrived on Wednesday,” a woman waiting in line revealed to ABC 7.

Earlier in the week, Jung Kook released a preview of “Seven,” featuring a scene of conflict with actress Han So-hee, causing flickering lights and a falling chandelier.

In addition to his performances with BTS (currently on hiatus since October), Jung Kook has previously released solo tracks like “Stay Alive,” “Dreamers,” and “Left and Right” featuring Charlie Puth.

The summer concert series lineup also includes:

July 28 — Fitz and the Tantrums

Aug. 10 — Carly Rae Jepsen

Aug. 11 — Busta Rhymes, Fat Joe, and Remy Ma

Aug. 18 — Hozier

Aug. 25 — Tim McGraw

Sept. 1 — Sam Hunt
