The inspector general found Grusch’s complaint to be credible and urgent, forwarding it to Avril Haines, the US Director of National Intelligence, and Rubio’s Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.
Senator Rubio, as vice chair of the Senate’s intelligence committee, emphasizes that other unnamed witnesses have faced credible threats to their livelihoods and safety.
