June 30 (UPI) — Netflix is offering a glimpse into what awaits in Season 3 of the popular series Sweet Magnolias.
To build anticipation, the streaming service released a captivating trailer on Friday, showcasing the talents of JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Brooke Elliott, and Heather Headley.
The television show Sweet Magnolias is adapted from the beloved book series by Sherryl Woods. The storyline revolves around the lives of three best friends, Maddie (played by Swisher), Dana Sue (played by Elliott), and Helen (played by Headley), who reside in the fictional town of Serenity, S.C.
In Season 3, viewers witness the aftermath of Cal’s (portrayed by Justin Bruening) fight, causing Maddie (Swisher) to struggle in her attempts to support him.
Simultaneously, Helen (Headley) grapples with a marriage proposal from Ryan (Michael Shenfelt) while also dealing with conflicting emotions for Erik (Dion Johnstone).
Dana Sue (Elliott) embarks on a mission to utilize Miss Frances’ check to benefit the community, but she also encounters hurdles in her relationship with Ronnie (Brandon Quinn).
Furthermore, the revelation of the tire slasher’s identity sends shockwaves through the town of Serenity.
An official synopsis teases, “Throughout the season, these ladies confront these issues, along with the complications they bring, using their characteristic warmth, humor, and unwavering devotion to one another and their loved ones. And of course, margaritas.”
The cast of this captivating series also includes Logan Allen, Anneliese Judge, Carson Rowland, Chris Klein, and Jamie Lynn Spears.
Sweet Magnolias Season 3 is set to premiere on Netflix on July 20.
