Seahawks’ Star Jamal Adams explodes with frustration after doctor’s ruling forces him to be sidelined

In a highly anticipated return to the field, Jamal Adams of the Seattle Seahawks only managed to play nine snaps before an unfortunate incident ended his game. Adams took a knee to the head, leading to frustration, which boiled over as he confronted the independent neurologist on the sideline.

In a video that surfaced, Adams can be seen angrily addressing the doctor, who is not affiliated with the teams and evaluates head injuries.

During the play on the field, Adams continued to argue with the neurologist, even as he was restrained by two members of the Seahawks staff. The incident caught the attention of a MetLife Stadium security guard, who came over to ensure the doctor’s safety.

According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, Adams remained engaged with the neurologist throughout the play. Eventually, he was moved away and taken to the Seahawks’ locker room.

The injury occurred during a second down tackle of Giants quarterback Daniel Jones in the first quarter. Adams made contact with Jones’ knee as he attempted to stop him from getting a first down.

Following the incident, the Seahawks ruled Adams out for the rest of the game.

This game marked Adams’ return after a 385-day absence. He had been recovering from a tear in his left quad tendon, which he suffered in the Seahawks’ first game of the 2022 season.

The injury had a significant impact on Adams mentally. In an interview, he revealed that he was “in a dark place” during his recovery and even contemplated retiring.

Adams said, “It’s been hard, man. I love the game like no other. You know, when you lose something that you really, really love, it takes a toll on you. Obviously, mentally, I had to get over that, had to adjust. That was just life… I had to talk to myself, mentally.”
