Royal Romance: Harry and Meghan Indulge in a Memorable Date Night at Katy Perry’s Spectacular Las Vegas Show

Audience members at Katy Perry’s final performance in Las Vegas were shocked to discover that Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, were in attendance.

Video footage captures the couple arriving at Resorts World Theatre, where Katy Perry has been performing her PLAY shows since October.

Other audience members can be heard expressing surprise as they notice the royal couple being escorted to their seats before the show begins.

Joining the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were their friends, Misha Nonoo, a British-Bahraini fashion designer based in the US, and her husband Michael Hess.

The couple has been seen on numerous occasions enjoying date nights together. Meghan also attended one of Taylor Swift’s Eras shows solo, while Harry attended an event in Tokyo, Japan.

Katy Perry, 39, is no stranger to performing for royalty. She participated in King Charles’s coronation concert in May, stunning the audience with performances of her hit singles “Roar” and “Firework”.

She was also among the select celebrities invited to Westminster Abbey on May 6, when Charles and Camilla were crowned king and queen.

Perry arrived at the ceremony with Edward Enninful, the editor-in-chief of British Vogue. She had previously collaborated with the king through the British-Asian Trust, a charity established by Charles during his time as the Prince of Wales.

The pop star, who is married to Kent-born Pirates of the Caribbean star Orlando Bloom, wore a lilac ensemble by British designer Vivienne Westwood for the occasion. Her outfit included a short-sleeved jacket, a matching skirt, a silk flower pinned to her lapel, and a dramatic headpiece with “merry widow” veiling.

She completed the look with Westwood’s Granny Frame pearl handbag, elbow-length gloves, and a pearl bas relief choker.

Perry gave an emotional speech towards the end of her Las Vegas show, expressing her gratitude to the concert’s team and her fans.

“What a fantastic celebration this has been,” she said. “I have cherished the energy and creativity that you bring to every era… without you, there would be no PLAY. Thank you for joining me on this journey.

“I want to thank my friends who are here tonight supporting me! Some of you were here on opening night, and you’re here again on closing night, and I don’t think you’re going to get Covid tonight,” she joked.

“And to my family, I love you all so much. I’m incredibly excited to go home and play pickleball tomorrow. Thank you for supporting me and coming to Vegas more times in the past two years than we’ve ever been, and even our own grandma lived here. I want to thank my partner, Orlando, for being an incredible support system and an amazing father. I love you.”

“I created this show after the birth of my daughter, Daisy Dove,” Perry continued, getting more emotional.

“When I met her, it was like all the love I had ever searched for finally appeared. She completed me, healed me, and showed me how to play again. So this show is for the inner child in all of us and the hope that if we could see the world through a child’s eyes, we would be free. Let’s never forget that love will always be the key.”
